Hooked up with our friends and riding companions; Bruce and Elaine Thomas at their home in Oroville at 10:00am. About 1.5 hours into our ride a hornet flew into my helmet and stung the #$$%#@ out of me 3 or 4 times. I had to pull over to let it out!
Later in the day we made a stop in Incline Village as Bruce was not feeling well... Long story short we took him to an emergency medical facility for diagnosis. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Reno. Linda and I rode to Reno with Elaine to meet the ambulance, found a place to stay and checked in with Bruce, who was feeling better but needed some tests and would need to spend the night and part of the next day hospitalized.
We spoke with Elaine and decided that we would head to Salt Lake City in the morning and hopfully catch up with them in a few days to continue our ride.
