Epilogue: 11:3,340

11 Days - 3,340 miles - A great ride! You can view the entire route on the image above.

Day 11: Last Leg

Woke up, had breakfast with Bruce and Elaine. Then set out on Highway 97 to I-5 then onto CA-99 into Chico and Oroville. Said goodbye to Bruce and Elaine in Oroville, then onto Lincoln, Roseville and then home to Granite Bay. Not much to tell today, mostly just a hard ride down the freeway's. Best news we arrived back home with the "Shiny Side Up!"

Day Ten: Oregon

Departed Baker City, drove south through Oregon to our destination stop at Klamath Falls. The weather was slightly hot, but not unbearable. We escaped the smoke from the California Fires and pulled into town just ahead of the rain. We found the "Austin Inn" along the way for a quick photo opportunity. One day to go...

Day Nine: The Trek To Home

Woke up and had breakfast with the Beller's, said our goodbyes and then began our return trip home. We drove through the Lolo Pass, approximately 100 miles of very scenic country. Our "Ride Master" Bruce then planned a route that would take us to follow the "Grande Ronde" river and through some very scenic country on into Oregon to spend the night in Baker City. It was a great day to ride, everything went well, low winds, nice temperatures and good company.

Day Eight: Great Falls - Hump Day

We left Stevensville and rode to Missoula for a stop at the local BMW dealer to get a new front tire for the "scooter", then up highway 200 to Great Falls. Highway 200 was an awesome ride, big sweeping turns, no traffic and beautiful country. We met up with Bruce and Elaine at the Big Sky Harley Davidson did a little shopping (picked up a new patch for my jacket). Then an awful lunch at the R&R Casino. Then we ALL headed back to Stevensville down I-15 to highway 12 then I-90 to Highway 93. The wind was blustering all the way a pretty drive but not to enjoyable of a ride. We met up with the Bellers for a BBQ at their home and spent the night as their guests. Good friends made the whole day worthwhile!

Day Seven: The Parks

We started out form Jackson Hole and rode through Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. The views were amazing. We didn't see much wildlife however only a few Elk, Buffalo and Deer. We stopped for lunch in West Yellowstone then continued on to Belgrade for a stop at the local Harley dealer. (Linda needed a new t-shirt). We then rode to Butte Montana, and up through Big Hole to Wisdom (this town should be named mosquitoville). Then a final pull to Stevensville Montana home to the Beller's.

Dav Six: Reunion and Rough Times

Today we met up with Kevin and Brianna Beller in Salt Lake City. Our route today will take us through Logan Utah, Montpielier Idaho and into Jackson Hole Wyoming. There was plenty of road work on I-15 today, but we made good time in the canyons. First stop was in Logan for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants from when we lived in Logan, Fredrico's the food was still awesome! After lunch we had a great drive over highway 89 to Bear Lake. It was beautiful. Next stop Jackson Hole where we reconnected with Bruce and Elaine only to find out that Bruce's scooter was now in the back of a rental van and he will have yet another challenge this trip. Tomorrow he and Elaine will drive over to Idaho Falls get the bike fixed, then will meet up with us again in Great Falls. We had an enjoyable dinner with the whole gang and are looking forward to going through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone tomorrow.
